William Sudah is a mechanical engineer and has been with Honeywell for 18 years. His primary experience is in life safety systems. He works directly with end users, design engineers, and channel partners, and assists in design, layout, and sequence of operation. How to Prevent Thermal Runaway in Lithium-Ion Batteries
Abstract: Recent lithium-ion battery explosions have demonstrated how dangerous they can be. This webinar will explain the four stages of battery failure and how to prevent a thermal runaway with proper “Advanced Detection” at the appropriate stage of failure. It will also address why conventional gas detection will not prevent thermal runaway and address best design and layout practices as well as sequence of operation.
